An overnight dock in Cochem gives you more time to explore this charming town at your leisure—an excellent opportunity to see the local Christmas market both by day and by night. Later this evening, we’ll sail on to the iconic Moselle town of Bernkastel.

As if frozen in time, Bernkastel is replete with perfectly preserved half-timbered houses and a quiet, unhurried atmosphere. The glow emanating from the windows of local homes and the scent of mulled wine on the air bring a romantic warmth to even the chilliest winter days.

To take a walk through Trier is to feel the long arch of history. Walk amidst the remnants of Roman presence on the Moselle—from the great “black gate” known as Porta Nigra to the ancient baths.
