What is Lightning Lane?

Lightning Lane is Disney’s paid skip-the-line system that allows you to reserve access to shorter lines for popular attractions.

Instead of waiting in the standard standby line, you’ll enter through the Lightning Lane and typically wait much less time.

There are two main types of Lightning Lane options.

Multi Pass

Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows you to reserve multiple rides throughout the day.

You’ll choose your return times and visit the ride during your reserved window.

This system works best when you plan your ride selections early in the day.

Single Pass

Some of Disney’s most popular rides are not included in Multi Pass.

These attractions are available as Individual Lightning Lane purchases, meaning you can buy access to that specific ride.

Day 4 – Animal Kingdom

If possible, adding a fifth day gives you time to revisit your favorite park or enjoy a relaxing resort day.

The first two hours of the day usually have the shortest lines.

Take a midday break.

Disney days are long, so returning to your resort for a few hours can make evenings much more enjoyable.

Ordering food in the Disney app saves a lot of time waiting in restaurant lines.

Prioritize your must-do rides.

Every park has a few attractions that are worth planning your day around.
